Born in
a landlocked county, Tim Rodger has always had an understandable
fascination with the British seaside. A youth misspent in
the amusement arcades of Skegness and Mablethorpe galvanised
his resolve to explore this seaside dream. But his interest doesn't stop with
the concrete and neon aspects of the UK coastline. A chance end of pier meeting
with David Bellemy inspired him to become a tireless campaigner
for the preservation of the North Atlantic's indigenous crab stocks.
No stranger to endurance challenges, he has developed a quite
unnatural
enthusiasm for scaling the world's volcanoes. Tim graduated from Bristol
University with a degree in philosophy and a determination to drift
as a roustabout. He now lives in North London where works
in the media.
